The nicest book on Labradors
I don't have a Labrador, but my friend borrowed it since she was going to buy a Labrador puppy and she found it helpful. And it's nice to look at, easy to transport, interesting, and the pics are nice.

A wonderful book!
All about your Labrador Retriever is a wonderful book. It is 32 pages but full of very helpful information! The price is very low for such a great book. I encourage any one who has a lab or is planning on getting one to get this amazing book. When you get a puppy you know that sooner or later your new puppy is going to puddle on the floor, this book will teach you what to do about it.

Barron's Guide to Graduate Business Schools
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (September, 1992)
Author: Eugene Miller
Average review score:

Very helpful guide for the business school selection process
If you are certain that you have no interest in studying outside the U.S. or Canada, then this book provides a good amount of information on the business schools on which you will be focusing. It also provides a nice summary table of these schools as well as a short section dedicated to the GMAT exam. This is the perfect book if you need to narrow down or even just select the business schools in which you may be interested. It can be particularly useful in assuring you don't accidentally overlook a program for which you are well suited. The financial aid section is also pretty helpful. Beware that, if you are applying to a competitive business school, you will want to do additional research for your "Why I want to attend your business school" essay beyond what is covered in this book.

Business School (not so) Blues
Barron's collectively assembles the information you are looking for in an easy-to-read format that makes the scary idea of going to business school a little less intimidating. The book breaks down each school, discussing the programs available, admissions info and general data regarding the campuses.

The Barron's Guide also has a helpful section on financial aid and what programs various schools excel in. The Barron academic profiles are comprehensive and are sure to help an prospective student in making a decision that is sure to be one of the biggest of their lives!

Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (April, 1985)
Authors: Lawrence S. Leff and Lawrence S. Leff
Average review score:

Top Choice
This book is top choice, but if you are strugging with this class, I would recommend buying the Let's Review: Sequential Mathematics Course III book, this book gives you all the information and problems you need to pass the regents, it is like a textbook, but much clearer, but the red book only reviews past regent exams, which you might not fully understand, but it is up to you how you want to prepare for the regents, this book only helped a little bit to prepare me

BUY THIS BOOK
THESE REVIEW BOOKS ARE SUCH A GREAT HELP. I USE ON FOR EVERY CLASS THAT REQUIRES A REGENTS EXAM. THEY ARE GREAT, THEY ARE SO RESOURCEFUL. THEY ARE A HUGE HELP WHEN STUDING!

Great review book for anyone.
A great review book for anyone who will be taking the New York State Regents in Chemistry. This book has tons of review questions from the regents with explanations and answers. It might not be as detailed as a big fat text book, but overall, a great tool for quick reviews.

one of the top books recommended by teachers
i think that is a very informative book and it's useful both at home and in school. It also does a wonderful job in preparing you for the New York State Regents. Clear explanations and questions. A wonderful study guide and practice. I highly recommend it.

Biology (Cliffs Quick Review)
Published in Paperback by Cliffs Notes (May, 2001)
Authors: I. Edward Alcamo and Kelly Schweitzer
Average review score:

great for those with a decent background in biology
I purchased this book for the purpose of touching up my biology knowledge for a standarized test. I had already taken an AP Biology class in high school and a physiology course in college. This book was very effective in condensing an entire semester long course into a short 200 or so pages. It truly mentions ONLY the very fundamental concepts of biology. I would recommend this book to those who wish to review a biology course that they have already taken. This book is entirely too brief for those with no previous background information in the area. For certain topics that my high school and college courses failed to cover, I needed to rely on more thorough text books for further detailed explanations. Some aspects of biology are just too in-depth for these short cliff notes to cover. In conclusion, this book is a great resource if you are looking for a quick, to-the-point review!

GREAT!
WOW this book is so short, yet so great! it is just like my bio book (close to 800 pages) but only, its 208 pages and it is just facts, none of the needless filler. The TOC is also just like the one in my bio textbook, but agian, the info it leads to is MUCH MUCH MUCH quicker to grasp!

The Bluest Eye and Sula (Cliffs Notes)
Published in Paperback by Cliffs Notes (September, 1997)
Authors: Rosetta James and Louisa S. Nye
Average review score:

A good help for additional understanding
These cliffs notes helped me very much studying this book for my high school english class. The parts that i didn't undertand reading the novel, the cliffs notes cleared up for me. If you're reading this book for school or for enjoyment, I would get the CliffsNotes for it just to supplement the reading.

Excellent guide
I read Sula and I needed a little help with the symbolism used in the book and Cliff Notes have always been an excellent guide.

The chapter's in "Sula" were seperated by years, and for each year there is a summary, commentary, and glossary for definitions of words and phrases. Also included is an introduction, character analyses, question, and essays for each book.

I haven't read "The Bluest Eye" yet but I do plan to, and its really great that both of these books are covered in this guide. I highly recommend this guide to anyone who wants a better understanding of one or both of these books.

Brave New World and Brave New World Revisited Notes
Published in Paperback by Cliffs Notes (December, 1900)
Authors: Aldous Huxley and Warren Paul
Average review score:

Good Review, but Needs a Few More Pieces of Information
In this Cliff's Notes booklet, the reviewer, Warren Paul of Columbia University, provides the following (in order): a brief biography of Aldous Huxley, a 6-page history of utopian/dystopian novels, 1-and-a-half pages containing the general plot, one or two lines describing each of the characters, a detailed description of each chapter (each with a few paragraphs of commentary), a critical analysis of the novel as a whole and of the characters, definitions of the terms (e.g., Malthusian Belt, Musical Bridge) used in Brave New World, a chapter-by-chapter summary of Brave New World Revisited, review questions for the student, and a "Selected Biblography." All in all, this Cliff Notes succeeds in providing the details the student of Aldous Huxley needs to do a book report on either of the two books for which it provides commentary. It also serves to stimulate interest in utopian and dystopian novels. The review would have been better if there had been more assessment of how Brave New World Revisited was received by the public compared with the reception of its predecessor, and of the very different treatment of the new world in the two texts (a novel in the first case, and an extended essay in the second). I also would have appreciated a list of all of Aldous Huxley's novels and other literary works in chronological order to help me put Brave New World and Brave New World Revisited in their proper perspective with regard to the author's literary career. Lastly, the Selected Bibliography consisted of only four texts, many of which were old when this Cliff Notes booklet was written. I would have expected at least 20.

A very usefull helper
This cliff notes helped understand this book.(I am a high school senior). And I would tell anyone who has read this book, if they need help to pick this book up.

Charles Dickens' a Tale of Two Cities (Contemporary Literary Views)
Published in Paperback by Chelsea House Publishing (May, 1996)
Authors: Harold Bloom and William Golding
Average review score:

It keeps going, and going, and going....
Part of the reason Dickens uses his "flowery" language, despite the effectiveness in creating vivid imagery, was that he was paid by the word. Therefore, his wordiness should not solely be considered an artistic choice, which makes you a bit more sympathetic to how long winded this book can seem. It is however a classic for good reason, with a compelling plot, even without very memorable characters. Still a good book to read for its historical context, and if you can handle the language it, for its good story.

A Tale of Two Cities
Probably the first thing I thought about when I first read Charles Dicken's A Tale of Two Cities was, 'There's WAY too much detail in thing dumb novel!' Well, as I read on it occurred to me that Dicken's uses his amazing flowery language for a reason. It gives you the 'reality' feeling, like you can actually see and picture in your mind what is going on. The novel grabs you in places and lets you feel the sorrow or happiness the characters feel. His rendition of London and Paris are extraordinary because he lets you see the injustice and the anguish that the peasant class felt at that time. The use of detail and language in this novel is one of its most effective elements and truely I would rate this book as one of the best.

Cliffs Quick Review Geometry (Quick Review)
Published in Paperback by Cliffs Notes (August, 1998)
Authors: Edward Kohn and Cliffs Notes
Average review score:

A Good Start for Geometry Review
This is a helpful tool for practicing concepts of geometry, and stimulation of memory. However, it may not be helpful if you never had any experience with geometry.

A Great Review of Geometry
This review of geometry is exceptional. It is quick, simple, and easy to use. It provides access to all the common postulates and theorems of geometry. This book is designed to be read straight through as a review. In fact, it does not even have an index. Because of this, I found myself searching through the book hunting for small pieces of information. But through the use of the table of contents, I could find the desired information.
Reading this book is an excellent way to prep for any geometry midterm/final or any standardized test (ACT, PSAT, SAT I, SAT II, etc.). It helped me greatly for the SAT, and in a lot less time than studing a text book or reading SAT prep books. If you need to review geometry in a short amount of time, this is the book to get.
